All Epica journals and guestbooks are permanantly hand bound, with one exception. All hard cover, distressed leather journal book blocks are bound to the leather front and back panels of the book using a special thick green paper stock called a fly-leaf. This, in addition to a book marker, are a couple of added features our Italian Artisans use to add value and aesthetic to each book. The one exception is the Refillable Italian Leather Calf Skin Journal. Equal in appearance and quality to our non-refillable calf-skin journal, these journal have a separate book block and outer leather wrap construction, allowing you fill it again and again with your writings.
